Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern access to https://reelcanto.site and the production services offered under the Reel Canto Films brand. Reel Canto Films Inc. is a Washington corporation with its principal office at 1111 Broadway Suite 2700, Oakland, CA 94612, United States. By using this site, requesting a quote, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. A separate written agreement or approved proposal may include additional project-specific terms and will control if it conflicts with these Terms.

Services

We provide film and video production services, which may include planning, creative development, production coordination, filming, editing, sound work, color correction, and delivery of agreed media files. The scope, schedule, deliverables, revision process, and technical specifications for each engagement will be described in a written quote, proposal, or service agreement.

Quotes & Payment

Quotes are based on the information available when issued and remain subject to stated assumptions, availability, and expiration dates. Additional work, schedule changes, reshoots, travel, third-party costs, or revisions outside the approved scope may require written authorization and additional charges. Payment timing, deposits, cancellation terms, and accepted methods will be identified in the applicable project document. We may pause work or withhold final deliverables if an amount is overdue.

Client Materials & Usage Rights

You represent that you have all necessary permissions for scripts, music, trademarks, footage, images, locations, talent, and other materials you provide. You grant Reel Canto Films a limited license to use those materials solely to perform the project. Rights in final deliverables are determined by the applicable written agreement and generally become effective only after full payment. Raw footage, project files, and unused concepts are not included unless expressly listed as deliverables.

Intellectual Property

Reel Canto Films retains ownership of its pre-existing materials, production methods, templates, workflows, software, know-how, and reusable creative elements. Unless prohibited by a written agreement, we may identify the client and display completed public-facing work in our portfolio and business materials. Confidential or unreleased work will not be publicly displayed without authorization.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful or harmful content, impersonate another person, or use our services to violate intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights. We may decline or discontinue work involving deceptive, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, or unlawful material.

Disclaimers

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Production schedules and outcomes may be affected by weather, location restrictions, equipment availability, third-party performance, technical limitations, or events beyond our reasonable control.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reel Canto Films Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising from a project will not exceed the amount paid to us for the specific services giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in the state or federal courts serving Oakland, California, in Alameda County, and each party consents to their personal jurisdiction and venue.

Changes

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in our services, practices, or legal obligations. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
